With the easing of business restrictions and all that? Since it's an American production?

They could work that into the plot real well somehow (since they basically have free reign script-wise after the events of Furious 7).

Remember the GTR-engined Mustang in Tokyo Drift? Maybe something like that where they have to track down a 1950s American car in Cuba that still has an American engine rather than a Russian one. They could put the focus on Dom because

he'll need to find something American to replace his Charger after what happened at the end of Furious 7

Or maybe the crew has to seek out "Old-school cars" like in Furious 6 because the newer ones are susceptible to electronic jamming and whatnot.

Just a funny thought. I read though that the only known detail about Furious 8 is that it will be filmed in New York City.

There shouldn't be an FF8. It ended perfectly with the Paul Walker send-off. Any more and they'd be milking the franchise dry.

I actually totally agree with you.

If they do make an FF8, I'd be curious to see how they pick things up with Lucas Black's character. Like if the original cast had never agreed to come back for FF4, it'd be interesting to see how the storyline would have carried on from FF3.

Han was one of the best characters though. Maybe it'd be pointless to continue that arc without him.
